About Us
Roger West, founder of Sterling Services, possesses sixteen years of progressive credit and collections experience ranging from sole proprietor entrepreneurial start-up businesses to multi-million dollar international corporations.
Additionally, he has over 22 years of sales and customer service experience in a variety of industries both retail and wholesale. With a B.A. in Philosophy from McMaster University and a Business Administration diploma from a private college, Roger is well-versed in the psychology and inner workings of business. He has also completed the Xerox Selling Skills II Program as well as attending and participating in several advanced learning seminars and training courses in accounting, software, economics, human resources, customer service, and marketing.
His background also includes attaining the Certified Financial Collection Professional” designation (C.F.C.P.) from the International Centre for Professional Collections; successfully completing the intensive “PaulZEN Method” of Professional Account Collection program; attending and completing the “Platinum Negotiations” Seminar and Workshop.
Roger has always engaged a positive, customer focused approach to his responsibilities. He is an empathetic listener and proficient communicator with strong negotiation skills—able to connect with clients in a constructive dialogue focused on moving to a successful conclusion.
